Join Emily Wilson in this dating novena on Hallow. Whether you’ve just started talking to someone, have been in a relationship for years, or are getting married next month, the time you spend dating is an incredible opportunity to discern how God is calling you to love Him, others, and yourself well. As important as it is to take time together to pray with your significant other, it’s just as important to pray for one other individually, reflecting on the ways God is inviting you both to love Him more through your relationship.
As we pray, we hope to bring God open hands and open hearts - praying that as we date and discern, we release our tight grip and desire to control, and instead allow God to lead us with His love and peace. We hope to offer our relationship up to God, asking God: “What are you calling me to learn from this person? How can I continue to grow closer to you through my relationship?”
In this novena, we will pray each day for a specific area we hope to grow in and then close with a beautiful poem-prayer by Fr. Joseph Whelan and have some time in silence with God.
