“Remember, o most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided.”
[Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of Life]
A litany is a prayer of petition usually prayed over a series of days or weeks. Litanies encourage us to turn toward God and grow in virtue by intercession of the saints. In the Hallow App, you can find many litanies for different intentions, often in mind of those who are suffering or sick.
This week, we are praying the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of Life, courtesy of the USCCB, as we approach the virtual March for Life on January 29th. You can find this prayer in the Litany Praylist in the Hallow App. We encourage you to pray the Litany with your Prayer Family for seven days. At the end of your prayer, please share any thoughts, reflections, or intentions from your heart to share with your Prayer Family. If you are unsure how to create a Prayer Family, we have a step-by-step guide for you to create one!
As we pray with our Prayer Families, let us ask for Mary’s intercession in protecting all human life. Let us pray for those who are suffering, those who need protection, those who need comfort, those who need healing, and those who need love. Let us pray that we may respect life from conception to natural death. Let us pray for heavenly grace on all of God’s children.
“Mary, pray for us.”
