CHICAGO, Sept. 2 – As parishes and schools around the country adjust to the arrival of fall and plan for the year ahead, many of them will do so with the support of Hallow.
While many are familiar with Hallow as an app to help people pray, Hallow also partners with various institutions around the country to help them build cultures of prayer, where members of these communities can ask for prayer intentions, pray for others and grow closer together and closer to Christ.
For the upcoming 2026-27 academic year, Hallow has partnered with more than 2,000 parishes, grammar schools, high schools, colleges/universities, campus ministries and more.
“Our mission at Hallow is to help people pray, and the fruit of prayer is to love more deeply – to love God with more of our heart and to love our neighbor more truly as ourself,” said Alessandro DiSanto, Hallow co-founder.
“So as we enter the back-to-school season this year, we’re particularly excited to help people grow from an individual and digital-meditated experience of prayer through Hallow, into an in-person, communal, and ultimately sacramental experience of prayer in and with their local communities.”
Hallow works with parishes to build vibrant prayer communities.
Parishes that partner with Hallow can unite their parishioners in one community on the app, launch community challenges so parishioners can journey together in prayer consistently and gain access to resources like custom content, homily guides, communication tools and more.
Hallow never replaces in-person worship. In fact, the lightest usage days on the Hallow app are Sundays and Saturday, when folks are together to worship in person and celebrate Mass.
“It is our great joy at Hallow to see a deeper culture of prayer take root in the community, leading to more robust prayer habits and greater active participation at the Sunday liturgy,” said Josh Danis, Hallow head of parishes.
Hallow also works closely with elementary schools and high schools. Hallow partners receive free access to Hallow for students, faculty and staff for the entire year, as well as free trials for families. Additional resources like guided lesson plans and content mapped to teacher curriculums are also available to partner schools.
Dioceses, campus ministries, and other Catholic organizations also are able to partner with Hallow.
